Welcome to PHS Miss Major

Arionna Johnson, Reporter

Miss Major is the new teacher that you see in the math wing. She grew up in Boss and went to high school in Viburnum. She went to college at Southwest Baptist University and got her bachelors in mathematics and minor in accounting. She also has a masters in education.

Miss Major went to school thinking that she wanted to be someone like an FBI agent. Then she realized that she didn’t want to move too far from home, so she decided to teach high school mathematics. She chose to be a teacher because she wanted to have a positive impact on students. This is now her third year teaching math. She started off teaching at Salem where she taught Algebra I, Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry.

Miss Major spends her free time with her two nephews that she loves and adores. She loves family time and reading books. Miss Major stated that students have done a good job of welcoming her to PHS this year so let’s continue to do so and wish the best of her first year with us.
