Trojans vs. Sullivan baseball

The PHS baseball team traveled to Sullivan High School where they defeated the Sullivan Eagles 8-4 on March the 29.
The Trojans led off the game at the plate with a scoreless first inning. Senior Hunter Kincaid was on the mound for the Trojans and came out throwing strikes and letting the defense work behind him. After a couple of scoreless innings, the Trojans scored five runs in the 4th inning. Sophomore Macklin Davis scored once. Junior Blake Coleman and Malachi Sansegraw scored. Seniors Blake Henson, and Blayne Nixon also scored.
After a couple of good hits by the Eagles, which the Trojans couldn’t stop right off the start, the Eagles scored 3 runs by the 4th inning.
In the sixth inning the Trojans scored 3 more runs on the offense. Kincaid scored once and Sansegraw also scored once more.
The Trojans then went out to play defense and only let one run by the Eagles. The Trojans entered the seventh inning leading 8 to 4. Junior Blake Coleman came in for relief for Kincaid and pitched a scoreless seventh.
The Potosi Trojans currently have a 2-3 record this season. The Trojans will be having the Potosi Tournament April 1, through April 2 at the Potosi Sports Complex.
