The Potosi Trojan Girl’s Tennis Team Wins Big

On Monday, September 12, the Potosi Trojans girls tennis team played Sikeston at the Potosi Sports Complex. Potosi swept the match 9-0 as a team.

  3. Senior, Jessica Littrell- 8-1
  4. Senior, Kya Gibson- 8-0
  5. Senior, Grace Laramore- 8-1

  2. Littrell/Laramore- 8-1
  3. Gibson/Lawson- 8-0

This year’s Seniors are Jessica Littrell, Kya Gibson, Grace Laramore, and Molly Hector. 

This is sophomore Hannah Barron’s second year on the team. She plays a mix of varsity and junior varsity. She said, “I mentally get myself ready and I just go out there positive thinking and positive minded.”

Junior Nicole Fryman plays on the junior varsity team, but tennis means something more than just athletics to her. She said, “Building friendships and relationships with people, it’s amazing how much you can grow in your friendships, and just the love that you have for each other is unreal.” 

The girls tennis team’s next match will be Thursday 9/22 at home against Arcadia Valley. The match will start at 4pm.
