The Potosi Marching Band prepares to host their annual Bi-State Invitational on Saturday, October 8, welcoming 22 bands to Potosi. This is Potosi’s 20th year hosting their Bi-State Invitational, which will be held at the Potosi football field. Bi-State is a two-part competition against participating schools, including a parade and field show.

To kick off the festival, the Potosi band will lead the parade from 9:00-9:30 a.m, taking route from Lawrence to S. Mine, while the other bands trail behind in competition. The awards ceremony for the parade will be held at the South Grandstands at 1:20 p.m.

After the parade, the Potosi brass ensemble will lead into the National Anthem at 10:45. Bands will then begin performing their field shows in competition, starting at 11:00 a.m. Admissions fees at the gate for adults are $10, students are $5, and children under the age of 3 are free. Many things will be available at the festival, including concession stands, a potato stand, a T-Shirt booth, an air gram table, and a seat in the stands to watch some amazing bands perform live music on the field.
