The Potosi High School JV and Varsity Golf team competed at their first meet of the season against St. James on Monday, March 18.
Potosi and St. James had a close back to back meet. The Trojans Varsity team took the win against St. James scoring 179 beating St. James by 3 points, leaving St. James at 182. The Trojans JV team also took the win with a score of 220 taking St. James out at 251.
Post meet, golfer sophomore Markus Reeves said, “It was definitely a good experience and we did amazing for the conditions we played in, we’re gonna keep going and putting in the hard work and get back to it.”
This year the Potosi Trojans golf team includes (seniors) Gabe Brawley, Brennon Blair, Connor Gibson, Brody Richards, and Brady Williams; (junior) Sam Rhodes; (sophomores) Kale Johnson, Carson Reary, Markus Reeves, and Peyton Rowe; and (freshman) Hallie Payne
The Trojans next meet is Tuesday, March 26 at Arcadia Valley.
