Shannon Riddle is a sophomore at Potosi High School. She juggles family, friends, academics, athletics, and eating Hardee’s, all while keeping a positive attitude and staying humble. 

Shannon’s teammate, Gracie Lawson said, “Shannon lights up every room she walks into. She is an all around great athlete. She is a varsity player in 3 sports. Shannon excels at volleyball, basketball, and softball. Other than being a star athlete, she continues to stay humble and is a great teammate. Shannon maintains good grades and attendance, even with all the athletics that she has going on. She even sits in the top ten percent of her class. She shows up for practice and is ready to learn and become even better than she was before. Whether she is walking through the hallway at school or shaking the opponent’s hand on the field. She is such a respectful and kind hearted person, in everything she does. She comes to games hyped up and ready to play. She is a team leader and always leads her team into success. We’re so lucky to have her here at PHS.”

Her teammates said that she is so full of life and happiness and that the bus rides are so fun because Shannon is just an all around fun person to hang out with. She never has anything negative to say and is always looking to build someone up. 

Shannon is very involved in school activities and clubs as well. She is involved in student ambassadors, and FFA

Shannon said, “it is very challenging but I have an amazing family and great group of friends. They are always there for me and encouraging me. I happen to be very dedicated and responsible and super organized. I get things done and I always make time to spend with family and friends and make sure I have time to regroup for the next day.”

Shannon’s teammate Lani Elder said, “Shannon is so sweet. I love her and she’s such a great teammate, but she always talks about Hardee’s and I just really don’t understand why.”

Shannon’s teammate, Ava Wright said that Shannon is a very sweet person and she’s always there for anybody, but for some reason she really likes Hardees.

Another teammate of Shannon’s, Lucy Degonia said that she likes Shannon because she’s fun to be around, she’s really good at softball. But, for some reason she really likes Hardees.

Sabra Brown, a teammate of Shannon’s said, “Shannon is awesome. I love being around her. She’s a great friend but she loves Hardees and has a strange addiction to cheese curds.”

Shannon’s friend Emily Brewer said that Shannon is a really sweet person. She’s a very uplifting and positive person, and she’s super funny but for some reason she really likes Hardees.

People wish for a teammate and friend like Shannon. Potosi High School is lucky to have her athleticism and academics.
