With summer coming up, it is the perfect time to review Aftersun products. My opinion matters because I’ve used these products for about five years.
Hawaiian tropic after-sun lotion scent lime colada. I rate this a 10/10 because it soothes your sunburn quickly and refreshes dry skin. This lotion smells amazing, like coconuts and summer. It’s super cheap. It was about $9 for the big bottle and lasted all last summer from the beginning of May to the end of September. This lotion rubs in easily. It is not greasy or sticky like aloe. I have nothing negative about this lotion.
Hawaiian Tropic After Sun body butter: I rate this a 9/10 because nothing can top the Hawaiian Tropic After Sun lotion. This body butter smells amazing. It smells so heavenly that I don’t know how to describe it other than that. I love using this body butter after a really long day at the river; it works incredibly if I just shaved my legs or arms the day before. This body butter keeps my skin super refreshed. This body butter is easier to bring along on camping or river trips than the giant bottle of lotion.
Banana Boat after sun lotion: I rate this a 5/10 because it’s nice for the cheap price. But you are most definitely getting what you paid for with this lotion. This lotion does not rub on nicely. You have to work it in for about five minutes. It smells awful, like a fresh aloe vera plant, and it’s sticky when it dries. One plus is that it’s okay to use it on your face.
