Potosi High School has hired seven new additions to its faculty for the 2024-2025 school year.
These members include Cassie Nickelson as Potosi’s agriculture teacher, Kara Pashia as the new foreign language Facilitator, Shellby Brannam as the new art teacher, Aaron Hampton as a new science teacher, Eric Johnson as an industrial arts teacher, Derik Ruble as an alternative teacher, and Michelle Province as the new school nurse.
Potosi High has recently experienced a teacher and staff shortage; therefore, Potosi High is very grateful for the new staff taking on these roles. They have filled so many important spots and positions needed to have a successful school year.
Seems to be that the students, staff, and new staff have already started the new school year off to a positive start by teaching classes, spreading knowledge, and helping around the school.
Mrs. Nickelson said, “I am super excited to begin working with the students at Potosi High School, she hopes to pass her passion for agriculture onto her students. The year is off to a great start.”
Sophomore Gavin Mosier said, “I love Mr. Bradley and he is awesome. I enjoy his class, I enjoy the way he teaches and runs his classroom.”
Sophomore Jenna Ramsey said, “I love Mrs. Brannam, she is super understanding if you are not a great artist, and she doesn’t base the grades off skill but it is based on participation and if you have tried on the piece of artwork.”
Sophomore Sabra Brown said, “She is great at giving our lessons during the day, she gives us useful assignments to complete the lessons, and I like the way that she runs her classroom.”
Sophomore Corrine Ainley said, “Mr. Hampton is very kind and generous, I like his personality and his animals. I like the way that he runs his classroom and the way that he teaches us biology.”
Sophomore McKenna Branham said, “I think she is a very nice woman and knows how to do her job properly, I am glad that my health during the school day is put into her hands.”
Sophomore Lucy Degonia said, “Mr. Johnson seems to be a great teacher, I can’t wait for the new and upcoming projects that we will be starting soon. He’s laid back and lets us be creative and free-minded.”
The 2024-2025 school year and faculty are kicking it off to a great start, and we plan to continue to do the same thing for the rest of the school year.
