Potosi High School’s Golden Spirit Pommies is holding their new season tryouts on September 3-5 from 5-7 at Potosi Elementary Gym under the authority of their new coach Bailey Vance.
Vance is a preschool teacher at Potosi Elementary. “This year I am working the team’s dance routines, and outside performances to strengthen the team as a whole,” Vance said. The team will be learning a brand new dance for tryouts. There is no sign up required.
“I love that the new coach actually teaches us the dances herself so they are original. I feel like we’re going to have a pretty successful season and hopefully get some new girls this season,” said junior Kallee Logsden.
Golden Spirit Pommies is planning on going to competitions around the Missouri area and getting more fundraising this year.
PHS junior Kallie Barker, who has been in Pommies for three years said, “Last year my favorite dance was homecoming. It was really fun to make the dance. I feel excited for the next Pommies season, we are looking forward to doing a lot more than just dancing at half time and fundraising more.”
