On Tuesday, September 10th, the Potosi Trojan volleyball team traveled to Arcadia Valley and defeated the Tigers.
Once all 3 sets were said and done, the Trojans won all three sets in a row with final scores of 25-21, 25-10, and 25-20. Potosi now has a winning record of 3-1.
The Trojans won the last time they played the Tigers, and they definitely put on a show. Every player pushed so hard to get the win against the Tigers. All the ladies helped tremendously with each point they earned. Sophomore Macyn McCarthy ended the game with 9 digs. Senior Ava Robart ended the game with 24 kills along with Sophomore Eden Robart with 12 kills.
McCarthy states, “I feel really accomplished and thankful that I get to have an opportunity to perform in such an important role for our team. Especially playing varsity with girls older than me only as a sophomore.”
The Trojans are so pumped and ready for their next game. E. Robart goes on to say how it has been amazing getting to have her older sister to set an example for her on and off the court and she hopes one day she can be half the player A. Robart is. These ladies are doing such an amazing job, we can’t wait to see what else this season holds for them.
The Lady Trojans’ next game is September 12th against the Bismarck Indians at home.
