The Lady Trojans tennis team played the Bayless Bronchos on Tuesday, September 24. The home match was senior night for the 6 seniors on the team.
Coach Mueller talked about each senior and they were each given a gift and presented with a bouquet of flowers. The seniors on the team include Lani Edler, Aubree Wilson, Hannah Barron, Stella Bourbon, Kaydence Allgier, and Corthine Wade.
Coach Mueller stated, “This group of seniors is going to be a tough one to replace. They have been so much fun to be around for the past four seasons. A lot of really good memories with this group. They have been key to the growth of the program in terms of players. They have the most wins of a class in my time as the girls’ head coach. As I said to their parents at our senior night, they have been a great set of role models for the team and if my own daughters turn out to be like them, I’ll be ok with that. Just great girls!”
The Lady Trojans beat the Bronchos 9-0. The singles winners for the night include seniors Elder, Barron, Wilson, Allgier, Bourbon, and freshman Chole Rowe. The doubles winners for the night include Elder and Barron, Wilson and Allgier, and Wade and Bourbon.
Rowe said, “ We played really well as an overall team, and getting to play with the seniors this year has been a blessing. They are such a fun and uplifting group and I’m so grateful I get to spend my freshman year with them.”
The Trojans play again on Monday, October 7, at the Windsor Doubles Tournament in Crystal City.
