On October 3, Our Potosi yearbook team traveled to Cape Central High School. Here they learned the basics of photography as well as writing.
Upon arrival, they entered an auditorium with many different schools. They had greetings from many of the schools, as well as a big morning welcome from all the staff.
Our staff split up into two different groups, one being photography. In this session, our staff members learned the basics of the lighting of a camera and how to get the perfect picture with the best lighting. They learned just what each lighting stage on the camera could do and its full ability. They then traveled to the outside area to practice the skills they had learned. They took pictures in direct sunlight, shade, and many other places to get the “perfect picture”.
The other half of our staff traveled into the writing session. In this session, our staff learned a lot about team bonding. They learned a lot about capturing pictures and working together to do this. They used a bead activity to compare just how many ideas one can come up with by just one bet. In this session, our team had an awesome time and are beyond excited to apply these within our yearbook.
Our staff truly had a wonderful time and are more than excited to apply these new skills they have learned to make our yearbook even better than it ever had been before!
