David Miller is a 14 year old freshman here at PHS. He is young, but he has to be willing to learn how to improve his performances each game.
Miller said, “Being varsity’s starting quarterback is definitely an accomplishment. It opens up college opportunities for me and it shows that all my time spent practicing paid off. I worked hard all summer long and showed up to every workout to show coach Wyrick that I have the determination for the position I play.”
Head varsity coach Dylan Wyrick said, “I think David is doing very well. He is adjusting to the speed of the game fast and he has the knowledge required to play quarterback at this level.”
Miller is determined to go far in his football career. He has been playing football for 6 years and plans to continue all throughout high school and in college. When David graduates, his dream is to go to the University of Tennessee and continue his career there.
Miller said, “My biggest inspiration is my dad because he always pushes me to be the best I can be, inside and outside of football. He has made a huge impact in my life and I’m extremely grateful to get the privilege of having him in my life and as a role model.”
You can watch David in action at our last home football game of the season on Friday, October 25th.
