Senior Carsyn Yount reached 1,000 assists as a setter here at Potosi High School. Yount got this goal of hers against Steelville Sep. 11.
Yount was able to do this in only two years, having 873 assists her junior year and getting 127 assists her senior year to join the 1,000 assist club.
With Yount still working in the off season playing club volleyball, never missing practice or work outs and staying after practice every chance she gets.
Yount said, “I feel like this is a great accomplishment for only being on varsity for two years.”
Yount was hurt last year in the beginning of the season, but still managed to complete her goal of 1,000 assists.
Senior teammate Cloey Wigger said, “I am so proud of Carsyn’s accomplishments. She is such a hard working, positive teammate. Carsyn always puts in 100% during games or practices and I know she will continue to work hard and she will reach many goals this season.”
Yount has a goal of reaching 1,500 assists one day soon.
