Alexia Odell is a senior in the Potosi High School marching band, attends the Mineral Area College EMT programs, and works a part-time job at Dairy Queen. For Mac, Alexia will graduate in December to be an EMT after she completes and passes all her testing. Her accomplishments don’t stop there; she has been to the state 3 times and districts once.” I’ve always loved music and love to expand my musical knowledge and I also love helping people.
Many of her teachers have great things to say such as her band director Mr. Jordan Simms who said, “Alexia Odle has been a great student to have in the band, she has been in many leadership roles and is an outstanding trumpet player. This year has been a challenge for her because she is going to school to be an EMT and trying to do all the things for the band, but she is doing well and has put in a lot of individual time and effort to make sure she is prepared.’’
One of her favorite teachers Mrs. Fulton had this to say, “Alexia is truly a joy to have in class. I feel privileged to witness her transformation into a responsible and driven young adult. Her genuine passion for helping others motivates her to pursue a career as an EMT, and she has plans to further her education and become a paramedic. I am immensely proud of the hard work and dedication she invests in her studies. I have no doubt that she will achieve great things, and countless lives will be positively impacted by her commitment to service.”
Alexia is an amazing and outstanding person and a lot of people can say this about her such as her peer Bailey Bowen: “Alexia is the most genuine kind-hearted person I know. She is determined to succeed in everything she participates in. She is sweet, caring, funny, and so extremely smart. I wouldn’t ask for any other best friend.”
Alexia is a hard-working individual and is a role model for many.
