Potosi FFA has an FFA shared blessings event where they prepare food for families in need or to families that cannot afford to have a thanksgiving meal. It is going to be on Monday, November 25 after school. The members will prepare all of the food on Monday and then deliver the food on Tuesday to the DFS office.
The FFA members will bring in different items that are cooked or already prepared. They will stay after school to finish cooking and wrapping the food. The food typically consists of food that makes a thanksgiving meal. They don’t know who the families are that will be receiving these meals. The members only know that there will be one family of four, two families of six, and one family of eight.
Cassie Nickleson Ag teachers said, “We are grateful for this opportunity to share blessings with others.”
Tuesday the officers will deliver the meals to the DFS officer. Where then the DFS will be giving the food to the families who need it most. They have no idea if the family even has an oven or anyway to fully cook the food. They will totally prepare the food for each of these families in our community.
Justin Reynolds FFA officer said, “We share blessings because we are blessed.”
The FFA members fully living up to their moto: “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve” as they serve many families in need in our community.
