Mrs. Pashia became a part of the faculty family at PHS in the fall of the 24-25 school year. Mrs. Pashia has stepped in to fill the role of the new Spanish teacher. This will be her first year as a teacher.
Before Mrs. Pashia came to Potosi, she was a secretary at Kingston high school for 5 years. While she was a secretary she helped plan the career fair, veterans day assembly, homecoming dances, and graduation. She also answered the phones, helped students with their schedules, and helped teachers with tasks.
Sophomore Drew Parmley said, “Mrs. Pashia is a very good teacher and my favorite. For her first year of teaching I think she is doing a great job. I enjoy going to her class everyday because she makes class fun by doing hands-on activities and projects.”
Spanish teacher Mrs. Pashia said, ” I graduated from Potosi, so I am very grateful to be back home. It was the best decision I have ever made. I plan on staying here for the rest of my life.”
In the short time she has been at Potosi, she has already made an impact on a number of students. She displays encouragement, kindness, motivation, and patience to each student that comes to her.
In the month of September, Mrs. Pashia received a “Live Gold belt” for the word motivation. This is voted on by the students at PHS. Students are prompted to select one faculty member that they think embodies the word “motivation” and to give a short explanation of why they believe this. Mrs. Pashia was the teacher of choice and received her “Live Gold belt” at the Love Purple, Live Gold assembly.
Freshman Chloe Lambing said, “Mrs. Pashia is incredibly thoughtful and has the biggest heart. Her patience and kindness make a huge difference in my everyday experience, and she always makes me feel supported and understood.”
Mrs. Pashia always greets people with a smile no matter the day. She is welcoming to everyone including her students as well as her colleagues and inspires them to be the best version of themselves they are able to be. Mrs. Pashia continues to make an impact on the people around her every day.
