Trojans Win Home Game Debut

The PHS boys’ basketball team made its home game debut against the Saint Clair Bulldogs last Friday, December 13, 2024.

The Trojans took an incredible victory outscoring the Bulldogs 75-33.

Senior Carter Whitley led the team with 26 points with 22 of those points in the first half to put the Trojans up 46-13. Whitley also led the team in assists (6) and rebounds (5).

Sophomore Kanaan Wilson had 15 points, with 12 coming from behind the arc.

The team had 16 steals; Whitley and Wilson accounted for 10 of those.

Not only did the varsity do well but so did JV outscoring the bulldogs 45-26 getting their first win of the season.

The boys’ next game is Thursday, December 19, 2024, at home against the West County Bulldogs. JV starts at 6:00 pm and varsity will follow.

Sabra Brown is a sophomore at Potosi High School. Her activities include basketball, softball, student council, and student ambassadors. When she isn't at school she likes to spend time with family, friends, and attend First Baptist Church of Potosi. In her free time she likes to listen to music, draw, read, and play basketball.

Adalyn Kirby is a 10th grader at Potosi High School. Kirby, as her friends call her, is involved in many activities here at PHS. Her activities include volleyball, basketball, track, FCA, and student ambassadors. Outside of school, she enjoys playing pickleball, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She also attends First Baptist Church of Potosi and is involved in their youth group. She loves to listen to Christian music and watch Pretty Little Liars.
