PHS basketball homecoming maid candidate winners walked into the Coronation ceremony on Friday, January 24, in the PHS gym. The coronation was held between the boys’ JV and Varsity games.
The male winter sports athletes in their graduating classes nominated the maid candidates. Once the maids had been nominated everyone in the grade had the chance to vote for who they wanted to win.
The winners were announced at the Homecoming Assembly which started at around 9:30 in the morning.
The maid winners included:
Freshman Maid: Paige Robart
Sophomore Maid: Lucy Degonia
Junior Maid: Macy Saunders
Senior Maid: Jessa Pashia
PHS basketball sophomore maid Lucy Degonia said, “ It was super cool! I wasn’t even expecting to get nominated, so I was pretty surprised when I won. It meant a lot to me that the people in my grade voted for me and how many people came to the coronation that night. Overall it was a pretty awesome experience!”
Our PHS basketball homecoming Queen, Aubree Wilson, was voted on by the varsity male winter sports athletes.
Homecoming Queen Aubree Wilson said, “ It was very overwhelming and took me by surprise at first, but overall I had a super fun time getting ready and taking pictures with all of my friends and family.”
The PHS basketball homecoming King, Carter Whitley, was voted on by the varsity female winter sports athletes.
