On Jan. 23 the PHS varsity girl’s basketball team defeated the North County Raiders. This game was important for the girls. This was going to be one of their closest games of the season. The team prepared for this game in practice and had team bonding to achieve their goal of winning the game. They defeated the North County Raiders 47-40.
Senior Aubree Wilson said, “ I knew coming into the game it was going to be a tough game to win. Thankfully everyone came into the game with a mindset of winning and we ended up pulling it off to have a 2-0 game win streak for the conference.
These girls are having an amazing season with a record of 14-2. This game was intense to watch. The girls put their all in allowing them to pull off the win at just the right time. The girls were also playing against one of our fellow teachers, Mr. Matt Bradley.
Sophomore Eden Robart said, “I was nervous going into this game knowing they would be tough competition. I am glad that we pulled off the win because we were working hard at this game.”
The girl’s next game is Jan. 30 at home against Central.
