On February 1, the PHS Golden Spirit Pommies competed in the Farmington Dance Invitational in the D2 Pom category. The Pommies competed using their well known routine to the song, “Space Jam” by Quad City DJ’s. This is the Pommies second dance competition that the team has ever done since the establishment of the team in the early 2000’s.
First year member McKenzie McCormack said, “I think for our first year we did super good so I’m really excited to see how we do in the future.”
The Pommies placed fourth out of six in their division, just like their first competition, placing fourth out of eleven in the hip hop category.
Athletic Director Josh Mapes said, “I’m thankful that Coach Vance is taking them to compete against other schools and learn from them and I’m always excited to watch them at the boys games.”
