The Potosi Trojans boys basketball team competed in their first round of the MAAA Conference Tournament at Mineral Area College on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
The Trojans faced the Kingston Cougars for the second time this season.
Potosi senior Ej Sansegraw said, “We know what they run and how they play, but we have to execute how we play and be ready to bring on our game and do what we do. ”
The Trojans defeated the Cougars 80-62 with Potosi senior star Carter Whitley leading the team with 36 points.
Whitley went 11-18 from the field in the win over Kingston.
The Potosi Trojans will be playing in the semi finals on Friday, February 14 at 8:30pm facing the West County Bulldogs.
