On March 15, Senior, Carter Whitley scored his 2,000th career point against Clayton during their quarter final game. Carter Whitley is only the 5th person to achieve this in the MAAA Conference. He had averaged 27 points per game, and scored 770 points this season.
Coach Conaway said, “I am extremely proud of Carter for reaching 2,000 varsity points. This is something not many people are able to reach and it is a huge accomplishment for him. He is an awesome player who works hard each practice to be as good as he is.”
Carter Whitley said, “I worked really hard for this, I practiced every day. I am really honored to be one of the five people in the conference to accomplish this.”
His postseason honors include all conference, all district, and district player of the year.
