Our pep band sent in a video to audition to play at Final Four at Mizzou and was one of the bands selected to perform. They showed up early to watch and support our boys basketball team and then they played at the 4:00, 6:00, and 8:00 games. It was a very late night getting home but our band received many compliments from spectators, not only spectators from Potosi, but also the other schools at Final Four. Mrs. Brawley said, “Our band was by far the best band there, they killed it and they sounded great!”
Even though it was a very long day our band enjoyed getting to play for these games. Senior Damian Powenski said, “Getting the opportunity to do this two years in a row is crazy but I am so glad that this is how I get to spend my last pep band.”
Senior Jordan Snider said, “You could hear the echo from how loud we were playing that night and honestly I thought it was pretty cool.”
The selection of our band to perform at the Final Four games at Mizzou was an incredible achievement that highlighted the talent and commitment of our schools band members. Playing at the Final Four games provided the opportunity for our band to play for a larger audience and to showcase their talent.
