Midwest Press is opening a new paintball field right behind the coffee shop, with the name Press Play. Press Play is hoping to open up the field by the beginning of 2026. There will be different games such as Free For All, Capture the flag, Red light, Green light, and many more.
Markie Smith, owner of Midwest Press, said, “New family business! Will be run by our teenage boys who are already brainstorming fun events, games, etc.”
Press Play’s goal is to have a place for kids to go to, have fun, and not be bored. Press Play also said, “We want people to play, stay, and eat in our town!.
Brayden Smith, an employee at Midwest Press, said, “I think it’s a good thing because our town can have something fun to do and for it to be more enjoyable.” When asked about the challenges that will be faced, Smith said, “moving the nets and inflatables, as well as the legal things such as insurance and permits.”
Press Play is a place for people of all ages to come and enjoy time with their friends and family. Though prices have not yet been posted, Press Play said that they will have packages in the future and are doing giveaways as we speak.
