The Potosi school board will meet Sep. 16 at 6 pm in the John Evans Middle School Library.
This meeting is being held to talk about a handful of things, including the financial report of the bond. The school board will explain how the bond will help pay for the new Performing Arts Center during the meeting.
“It’s really exciting, I feel like it would be a great addition to the school,” said Jocelynn Reeves, a freshman at Potosi High School.
They will also introduce, and approve the company that will build the center. The company, Brockmiller Construction, is known for building beautiful, durable, cost-effective buildings and spaces in Southeast Missouri.
Junior Peyton Heifner said, “I’m excited for the upcoming middle schoolers to have the art center. I think it’s going to be good for the school.”
Other items on the agenda that might interest students include student recognition, and an overnight trip request for the Thespian Society Convention.
