On Thursday September 12 the PHS FFA will be delivering mums to the high school parking lot. There should be a few extra if anyone is interested. Each Mum is $12.00 per flower! Future Farmers of America is back with another Mum fundraiser! The mum fundraiser helps support the program from the FFA National Convention all the way to the State Convention.
Potosi High School is kicking off the fall season with its Annual Mum Fundraiser. Students, staff,and community members can purchase beautiful, vibrant mums to support school activities such as FFA. With a variety of colors these flowers are perfect to decorate with! All proceeds will go directly toward funding FFA’s conventions all the way to conferences.
The starter of the FFA Mum fundraiser had a few things to say about the fundraiser! Mrs. Nickleson is Potosi High Schools FFA sponsor and leader! She also teaches Agriculture classes and Wildlife and sales classes. Here’s what Mrs. Nickleson had said about the Mum Fundraiser, “My favorite thing is that last year the mums were so beautiful when they came in and this year everyone is so excited to buy them!” Mrs. Nickleson is very excited to be a part of the FFA mum fundraiser!
Jeuline Trokey is a sophomore at Potosi High School and this is her first year doing the Mum fundraiser! So far Trokey described the Mum fundraiser as a good experience for it being her first time! Here’s what she had said about the Mum fundraiser, “My favorite thing about the mum sale is that you get to interact with people in the community and regroup with old friends.” Trokey loves getting to meet new people and reconnecting with all her old friends from the years before!
The history of the Mum fundraiser highlights the strong community spirit and support for agriculture education. With proceeds benefiting the FFA organization, students will have greater opportunities for leadership development, hands-on learning and participation in future events.
