This week, the Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy is presenting Winnie the Pooh on Sep. 12 & 13 at 7 p.m. and on Sep. 24 at 3 p.m.
Our drama club is going to see them on the 12th. If you are in the drama club, you had to pay five dollars before the 10th to see the show. That night, you must show up at the building by 5 p.m.
Theatre Teacher and Speech coach, Mr. Dement, said, “It’s important for theatre students to go see shows because it helps support local theatre, so they know there’s more theatre around than they realize. It’s also a bonding experience for those in Thespains Society and Drama Club.”
Michael Cantrell is directing the show. He also let me know Former Potosi alumnus Mellisa Simmons is casted in the play.
If you wish to see the show for yourself, please note that if you don’t go on the trip, it will cost ten dollars, and you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the theatre at MAC.
