All state player Eden Robart joined the 1000 kill club on Tuesday Sept.16 during PHS volleyball game at Salem. Robart is a 3 year varsity player, with a 1x all state title under her belt.
While speaking with Robart she had many great things to say, but one thing she is most thankful for is her teammates and coaches. Robart said, “ My team has been very important in my success. If I did not have them here with me then I wouldn’t have someone to celebrate all these big accomplishments with. I also wouldn’t have anyone pushing me to be the best version of myself.”
Head Coach Matthews said, “ I’m incredibly proud of Eden for reaching this milestone so early in her junior year. She has earned it with her hard work and dedication. Watching her put in the effort day after day then seeing it pay off in such a meaningful way makes me so proud to be her coach.”
Robart said, “ I was definitely excited and joyful that I got the opportunity to play, because I know there aren’t many people who get the chance to play, or their success takes longer.”
Robart is the key player for Potosi. Big sister Ava left her mark at PHS, graduating May 2025 leaving big shoes to feel. But junior sister Eden was able to feel those shoes with breeze.
D1 Indiana State University Ava Robart said, “ It’s very bittersweet celebrating this big milestone. It’s hard for me watching her meet big goals and not being able to actually be there to see them. But I am so proud of her and everything she’s accomplishing, she makes me more and more proud everyday.”
“ I truly believe the sky’s the limit for her. I believe she will lead the team to another state run this season. Her sister left her mark on Potosi volleyball, but Eden is going to do the same. She is carving out her own path to incredible opportunities. I’m excited to see what her future holds and I have no doubt she has what it takes to compete at the next level,” said Coach Matthews.
Robart has left an impact on many young and older players. Robart helped lead her team to a state championship during the 24-25 volleyball season. After this year Robart will have one year left playing for the Lady Trojans. She will be seen many more times on the court, and hopefully at the final four within her last two years of high school.
