Over the weekend, the Potosi High School Band placed ninth and took home the overall title of Grand Champs at Sullivan’s band competition.
They won second place in the parade category, took third place in their class at prelims, and they combined all the scores to place Grand Champs.
Head Band Director, Jordan Simms said, “I was happy with the results that the students put in.”
Before the show, junior Cole Dicus said, “I am super excited and I am looking forward to the performance.”
Following the event, junior Jaxon DeGonia said, “We did pretty well, but there are some things we can still work on.”
The next band competition is scheduled for next Saturday, Sep. 27 at DeSoto.
