On Mon., Sept. 29, 2025, the Trojans tennis team travelled to Cape Girardeau to take a tough loss to the 7-3 Saxony Crusaders.
Sophomore Chloe Rowe defeated Hannah Pruitt 9-8 (8-6) in a lengthy match. Senior Kinsley Vance won her match against Emiliana Keller 8-5.
Sophomore Chloe Rowe said, “My will to win helps me keep my composure and keep performing like I want to. I am too competitive to give up.” Rowe added that when she keeps her own emotions in check, her opponents sometimes lose their own composure, putting her in a better position to win. Pruitt was visibly frustrated during the match.
Senior Kinsley Vance said that she thought the secret to her success was wearing her opponent out by hitting a lot of cross court shots, making Keller tired.
The District Tournament is Thursday Oct 9. At the SEMO tennis complex.
