Last year Potosi High School introduced a new student named Elliott Akers. He did not know anyone or thing about the environment, culture, or faculty, but one thing did help him get to know the people was football.
Elliott came from Timberland high school it was a big class 6 school that means it had more than 1,000 students it was rough transferring from a big community to small community Elliott said “I think down here everybody seems to know everybody and everything about each other”
Junior Elliot Akers said, “I think when I first move here it was rough to move from a big class 6 school to a little school in the country I think it was pretty rough learning the coaches and the people and the environment I think this and little bit of last year help me make some new great friends I think this year I became more comfortable talking to people I think got amazing friend group from this.”
Senior Ben Shoults said, “It help him open up to me I think the only reason I know Elliott is because we played football together I feel like I know him better as a person and player because of football.”
Senior Cole Juliette said “I think the football program has made Elliott more comfortable and definitely more open.”
Through the football program Elliott has made a lot of great friends and has become more open and comfortable with people and everybody.
