Makya Knoll, a junior at Potosi High School, is a cross country runner who loves running with her friends and improving at the sport she loves.
“You don’t have to be the fastest, you just have to be better than you were yesterday,” said Makya Knoll.
She is striving to be better as she goes through her high school career. She placed 19th at Van Buren, 20th at Bismarck, 16th in North County, and is thriving to get better and better.
She is still working hard.
Her teammate Peyton Hefiner said, “I think Makya has grown a lot each season and she loves how she has a good work ethic and still encourages everyone when times get tough during meets.”
Her biggest influence to help her keep running and her good worth ethic is Mrs. Politte. Makya said, “She loves how she cares about them and pushes them to be better each meet”.
After high school, Makya has plans to run cross country at Mineral Area College with her best friend Peyton Hefiner. November 1st she runs at the district meet at Arcadia Valley and hopes to make it to state as a girls team.
