The Potosi Trojans played Doniphan at home and won 63-31. Both teams battled all night but Potosi came out with a win by being able to out-execute the Dons.
Potosi is now 6-4, which is the best they have done since 2019. Noah Walton led the team in rushing yards with a total of 314 yards and four touchdowns. Thomas Lambing had 132 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Trojans will play at Central for the district semi-finals. The Trojans are now on a 4 win streak and need to beat Central to play in the district championship for the first time since 2009. Potosi has had an outstanding offense. They just need to patch up some little defensive mistakes if they want to defeat Central.
The Trojan’s new Head Coach, Mark Casey, all season has spoken about “changing the culture” and being “all in” and it seems like the Trojans have taken that to heart and started having the “winning mentality.”
