Karen M. McManus, author of One of Us is Lying, is an American author from Massachusetts who holds a master’s degree in Journalism. Karen M. McManus is a single mother, works full time, and an author on top of all of it. She spent many hours writing One of Us is Lying in the stands of her son’s hockey, or baseball games, Karen M. McManus is an amazing author who is very dedicated to her children, book, and her fans and this to me makes her and her books something special.

One of Us is Lying is a must read for many reasons. It’s a blend of all kinds of genres. It gets you in the minds of the four main characters, and lastly you are the detective in this book. One of Us is Lying was a jaw dropping experience that had me even trying to figure out who was guilty and who wasn’t. Peacock, the television network, is putting a twist to One of Us is Lying by turning it into a show you can watch on their network. Peacock’s twist to One of Us is Lying is really close to the books themselves but it is not word for word, I myself like this because just like the book the television show has its own set of twists. Peacock premiered the show on October 7, 2021. With the first season of the show being a huge success Peacock has announced that season 2 will be out sometime in 2022 and I can’t wait to see what else they can bring to the table with this show.

Mcmanus has a new book coming out on November 30, 2021, You’ll Be the Death of Me is a Young Adult thriller about friends named Ivy, Mateo, and Cal who decide to skip school and there day goes from bad to deadly, when they follow another Carlton High School skipping school and the follow him to the scene of his own death. It turns out the three friends have a connection to the dead kid, and they’re all hiding something.
