On Friday March 25, the Potosi varsity track team traveled to Park Hills to compete in the Rebel Relays. The boys and girls placed third overall out of nineteen schools; this was a traditional co-ed track meet, individual against individual. Here are some of the highlights. 

On the girls side, Kalie Thompson placed first in girls discus, Carlee Moss placed in the top 8 in the girls 1600 meter run, and Celeste Sansegraw placed 2nd and Alyson Skiles placed 3rd respectively in the 3200 meter run. 

On the boys side, Luke Brabham placed 4th and Carter Whitley placed 5th respectively in the 400 meter dash, Garrett Hale placed 3rd and Jayden Kanan placed 5th respectively in the 800 meter run, Connor Gibson placed 6th and Andrew Cain placed 7th in the 1600 meter run, and finally PHS boys 4×800 meter relay team placed first overall.

Lauryn Reed said, “Season is going great but there is still room for improvement.”

The next meet is Tuesday March 29, at 2:30 at Jefferson R-7.
