Volleyball lady Trojans Defeat Salem Lady Tigers

On September 13, Potosi High School Lady Trojan volleyball took on the Salem Lady Tigers. The Lady Trojans took the win leaving varsity with a record of 6-0 to start the season.

Thinking back on the game, Senior Jade Williams said, “I was nervous, because watching them on film they seemed better than they were last year but also excited to see my ex teammates.” 

The final score for the first set was 25-17 a win for the Lady Trojans. The second set ended with another win for the Trojans, the score was 25-17.

The third set of the match started off with a serve by Senior Audrey Neel.

As the third set moved on Coach Sadler called a timeout, because of Salem’s lead of 13-16.

“I was feeling very proud at the moment, and I felt we could’ve given a little more effort but at the end of the day we brought the win home and we worked as a team,” Sohpomore Cloey Wigger said.

The Varsity Lady Trojans whos record stands at 12-0-1 will be having their next game on Sep. 26 at Valle Catholic High School After the JV plays at 5:30 p.m.
