For the whole Potosi boys team, there were seven out of eight boys that beat their personal record. Sisk(16:28), Smith(16:45), Wilson(17:34), Portell(18:07), sophomore Cohen Long(19:40), sophomore Landon Sandusky(20:51), and freshman A’montae Hill(21:59)

Potosi’s top 5 boys finished in the top 72 out of 232 runners which successfully led them to a team victory.

Potosi boys captured first out of 29 teams with a score of 162 points while Hermitage trailing with 188 points.

Sisk(16:28) said, “I thought it was a prank at first to be honest. One of the guys called us to let us know but I didn’t believe him until he actually sent me a screenshot of the results. It got me and the rest of the team up because a team win wasn’t even on our radar for the day but thanks to an amazing race by every single runner, we all got to celebrate and jump around together once we found out.”

Potosi will be traveling to Columbia on Saturday, Sept. 23 to take on the state course as a preview.
