Mrs. Bernhardt is the owner and handler of Waddie, which is the high school’s new therapy dog.
April 11 is national therapy dog day and in honor of that we are recognizing our very own at Potosi High School, Waddie. Not only is April 11 national therapy dog day it will also be the one month mark since Waddie joined us.
Back in November, Waddie started his training to become a therapy dog. He had to go through 10 weeks worth of training in individual and one on one classes.
Waddie joined our team on March 11 and has loved every second of it. From the words of Mrs. Bernhardt, “I wish students would get excited for school as much as Waddie does.”
Waddie has been a great asset to Potosi High School and students and staff are enjoying the short time he has already been here and we’re excited for the many more years he has to spend with us.
