On Saturday, April 5, the Potosi School District will have its 3rd annual MOSAIC Festival. This will be held in the high school gymnasium from 9 am to 6 pm.
This festival will be a display of all the students’ artwork from elementary to high school. In addition, the band, choir, speech and debate, and theatre will be performing as well. The performing arts events will start at 9 in the morning with the competitive one act and the rest of the events following. The art teachers at all buildings will be displaying their students’ artwork that they have been working on throughout the year.
Senior Laney Drennen said, “This is my fourth year having a whole bunch of stuff in it, and last year some of my art got sold, and it’s just a really good feeling to have your art recognized.”
Despite the rainy weather, there will be food trucks, along with a wide array of artwork and performances. The students and fine art teachers have been hard at work this week and throughout the year to set up this festival, and they all look forward to the support and presence of the community. The festival will be set up all day for people to stop by at any time.
