The Potosi High School girls Tennis team played in the MAAA Conference Tournament at Engler Park in Farmington on Sept. 30. Six players participated in the tournament, junior Michelle Whitker, seniors Sarah Hornsey, Molly Hamby and Emma Hoffman, sophomore Grace Laramore and Freshman Tori Krebs. The top finishers of the day were Grace Laramore finishing third in the number five singles bracket and Tori Krebs finishing second in the number six singles bracket. 

 

Potosi High School coach Daniel Mueller said, “The competition we faced this year was tough and yesterday showed it with North County and Farmington competing for the tournament title.” 

 

Now the Trojans will get ready for district play starting Saturday Oct. 3. The Tennis team is in Class 1 District 3 and will be competing with Lutheran South, St. Pius and Notre Dame St.Louis.
