Potosi High School homecoming was held January 16th, let’s recap.
At PHS, homecoming is a very important day for the students, staff, and community.
One of the students favorite homecoming activities is to decorate their class hallways. This year the themes were Tv show themed. The Freshman theme was Shark Tank, the Sophomore’s theme was Ridiculousness, the Junior’s theme was Wipe out, and the Seniors theme was Duck dynasty. This of course was a class competition of whose hallway looked the best. The Juniors took first place, with the seniors coming in second place leaving the freshman third place and the sophomore’s in fourth place.
On Friday, we had our homecoming assembly where we played games, introduced the winter sport athletes, honored fall sports post season honors, and of course crowned the 2026 basketball homecoming maids, king, and queen. Freshman maid, Kaydence Eden – Sophomore maid, Chloe Lambing – Junior maid, Makya Knoll – and your senior homecoming king and queen are Peyton Rowe and Kallee Logsden.
Later that night we played St.gen and beat them with the score being 71-50. Before the game started, we honored the 2024 Lady Trojan volleyball team who won the State Championship for Class 3 in fall of 2024. The administration of Potosi School District presented this team their well deserved banner that will be hanging in the high school gym. Coronation followed shortly after. The boys had a great game with the stats being, Thomas Lambing scored 20 points with 7 rebounds-Kanaan Wilson scored 18 points-Rhenn Mapes having 13 points-Peyton Rowe scored 12 points and 16 rebounds. I hope everyone enjoyed all the homecoming festivities.
