Local scholarship applications are available for PHS seniors Feb. 1 – Mar. 15 and can be found in the counselor’s section at potosir3.org.
Deadlines for Local Scholarships are February 1 through May 1. For all scholarships, students must complete an application, and for some, students may be required to ask for a letter or recommendation and/or write an essay.
Potosi community funds several local scholarships. For example, students may apply for First State Community Bank. To qualify, students will need to show financial need, citizenship, and be well-rounded.
Other scholarship opportunities include: Future Teachers of America Scholarship (Must be a member of FTA), military scholarships, and many more.
Mrs. Gray advised, as a reminder, as you fill them out on your Chromebook, make sure you save with changes.
Mrs. Gray said that a scholarship opportunity was posted on social media to attract attention to all of Washington County, class of 2026 seniors in the school districts of Potosi, Caledonia, Kingston, Richwoods, and Bismarck.
