The Potosi community is excited to announce the official opening of the new Community Amphitheater with a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 20th, 2026. This special occasion will celebrate a new space dedicated to bringing residents together through music, performances, and community events.
The ceremony will feature a variety of attractions, including local food trucks offering a selection of food and refreshments for attendees to enjoy. Entertainment will be provided by the Potosi High School’s Band and Choir, who will perform a selection of musical pieces to help mark the grand opening of the amphitheater. The Band will be performing multiple short pep tunes, similar to what they play for pep band performances. The Choir will be performing The Star Spangled Banner, & lean on me. This event also serves as a preview of what’s to come; The amphitheater’s first official production will take place this June during the Moses Austin Festival.
The opening of the Community Amphitheater marks an exciting new chapter for Potosi, creating a dedicated space for entertainment, creativity, and community connection. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and be part of this important milestone.
