Skiles said, “Mentally, it was very tough. I was in my head the entire race. With Cross Country, it’s 100% physical and 100% mental. Sometimes it’s more mental than physical. You can train and be fast in practice and hit the times you are supposed to hit, and then when it comes to race time you can either really succeed or you can choke and do bad because you weren’t in the right headspace.”
- Senior, Zeke Sisk, finished this race in 3rd place with a time of 16:45.
- Junior, Alex Smith, finished in 8th place with a time of 17:19.
At this race, the girl’s team placed 3rd place and the boy’s team placed 4th.
Coach Politte said, ¨I think they exceeded expectations. My expectations were that everyone was going to try their best and see where everyone is at. We were working to improve from our last meet.”
