On April 14th, the Potosi tennis team defeated the Windsor Owls in a close 5-4 match. The competition was a constant back-and-forth, with several matches coming down to the final points.

Isabell/Sandoval: 8-3

Henson/Reary: 9-8 tie break (11-9)
Singles
Isabell vs. Wright: 2-8
Sandoval vs Guebert: 8-9 tie break (5-7)
Beck vs. Pugan-Cruz: 8-3
Henson vs. Welch: 8-4
Reary vs. McKinley: 0-8
Coach Mueller was impressed by Micah Henson’s ability to secure the deciding win under pressure. However, Micah later admitted he didn’t realize the team’s victory depended on his match. “Well, Coach Mueller didn’t tell me that my match determined a team win,” he joked. The Potosi boys tennis team is heading into a busy stretch to close out the week, beginning with a trip to Crystal City this Wednesday, April 15th. The Trojans will remain on the road Thursday, April 16th, to face North County before returning to Crystal City on Friday, the 17th, for the Crystal City Tournament.
