The 2025-2026 basketball season will be carved into the history books at Potosi High School. To start, the boys went 21-6 en route to a Class 4 District 2 Championship win over Bayless to win their second straight district championship. To start the season, the boys won the FCNB Bank-It Championship over St. James 63-61. The boys would go on to place second in the Bob Sechrest Christmas tournament before falling to Festus in overtime 77-73. In the MAAA Conference Tournament, the boys would place second in the tournament after falling to Farmington 62-44. At the end of the season, the boys recorded their fourth consecutive 20-game winning season.
As for the girls, they went 22-5 as well as winning their first Class 4 District 2 Championship since 2017 over the two-seed St. Pius X Lancers 51-49 in overtime. To start the season, the girls placed second in the DeSoto Tournament after falling to Festus 58-46. The girls placed in the Bob Sechrest Christmas tournament after beating Central (Park Hills) 49-32 in the 3rd place game. In the MAAA Conference Tournament, the girls beat Bismarck 53-44 in the 5th place game.
