The Potosi Varsity Trojans lost to North County on Tuesday, April 21, with the final score 2-3.
Our varsity baseball team put up a good fight against the North County Raiders.
Krew Sadler pitched 5 ⅓ innings and compiled seven strikeouts while yielding two runs. One earned on two hits and two walks. He retired ten in a row, and Cole Portell took over.
Potosi scored two runs in the fourth inning. They held North County back until the battle proved too difficult, and North County tied 2-2 in the 5th.
They continued to hold them back for another inning until North County won the battle by scoring one last run in the bottom of the 7th.
Brayden Blair said, “It sucks to see our team lose week after week and not be able to finish games when I see guys show up and put their time and effort into this game they love.”
He was on base three times while Camden Kincaid singled and walked for the Potosi High School Trojans.
Team Captain, Lane Revelle said, “We played a really clean game. Was proud of everyone’s effort and heart, just came up short in the end.”
The next game will be held at the Owensville Lions Sports Complex at 4:30 pm on Friday, April 24, vs. Owensville.
