Three Potosi High School Lady Trojan tennis players get the chance to play at sectionals, after individual districts, hosted by Potosi, on Sept. 27.

Potosi High School senior Gracie Lawson battled her way back taking her sectional qualifying match into a tiebreaker. She took the victory and finished the day with 2nd place in the district tournament.

Potosi High School senior Tori Krebs and Potosi High School junior Lani Elder came together during their doubles match and won after going into a tiebreaker that qualified them for sectionals. They ended the day with 2nd place in the tournament.

Elder said, “Going into the tie breaker I was so nervous and shaky. We got down a few points but we stayed focused and came back. The final point was such an exciting moment. Our goal this season was to qualify for sectionals and we reached it. I can’t wait to see what we do from here at sectionals.”
