Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks go head to head in Game 5.

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers compete for the 119th Championship Title in the 2023 World Series.

The Rangers are only one win away from clenching their first ever Championship Title in franchise history, with the series being 3-1. Game 5 will air at 8:03 Eastern time, November 1, at Chase Field in Arizona.

The Diamondbacks finished out the regular season 84-78 while the Rangers finished 90-72. Despite not being first in their divisions, these two teams have fought hard for these spots, both defeating several top teams.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said, “The only thing I’m thinking about tomorrow, we’ve got to come out and play our best game.”

The Diamondbacks defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Philadelphia Phillies to claim their ticket to the 2023 World Series Championship, while the Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles, and Houston Astros. As it was a shock to see these two teams progress their way through the playoffs, they truly have fought hard for these spots.

Tommy Pham, center fielder and designated hitter for the Diamondbacks said, “It may look like we’re loose to you guys, but we’re well prepared. These games can humble you. One day, you might have a great hitting day like 2 homers, base hits, the next, everything will change and you could have five strikeouts. It’s a gamble, it really is.”

The Texas Rangers have never won a World Series Title while the Diamondbacks have slid their way into only one title. As of October 31, Texas has defeated Arizona three times this postseason, inching closer to the Championship title. After losing their star first baseman Adolis Gracia to an injury, Rangers players Marcus Semien and Travis Jankowski have stepped up their game. While the Diamondbacks turn to their ace pitcher, Zac Gallen in hopes of reviving their season and keeping it alive.

Great article! I didn’t realize how hard these teams have worked to get there. Nice read.
